FAIR LAWN, N.J.– The Fair Lawn Local Emergency Planning Committee will host a free workshop entitled “How to Write a Business Continuity Plan” Sept. 7.

The workshop is scheduled from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Community Center, 10-10 20th St. 

The workshop focuses on the essentials of business risk and business risk management for routine operations, including the importance of performing a periodic "SWOT Analysis" for your business, organizers said.

There will be a focus on the essentials of emergency preparedness and recovery to address the special threats that both man-made and natural disasters present in maintaining our business operational continuity, organizers added.

Bill Ruggles, the chief operating officer and managing partner for he Ruggles2 Center for Organizational Performance Improvement, in Fair Lawn, will be the presenter. 

The designated audience for this seminar includes industry and business owners, operators and/or managers, industrial, business and government compliance personnel, and personnel responsible for planning and recovery, according to organizers.
